ITALY – REUSE OF MATERIALS: A LOT AND EVERYTHING

First of all, two positive updates: the gym bench we received some time ago has been delivered to the prison in Ferrara, while the bike trainer has been placed in a home for unaccompanied minors near Bologna. Two great examples of how these items can be reused.
Thanks to collaboration with a library in Milan, comics have been distributed to after-school programs and educational centers. In addition, thanks to other supporters, books and comics will be provided to both adult and child patients at the European Institute of Oncology; English books will also be sent to a language school.
ATF has also given new life to many other items: a baby cot, a microwave, and a hand blender for families in need; stationery supplies and a small sewing machine; clothing and shoes for men and women; prescription and sunglasses; backpacks; bags; and children’s toys.
Other items have been or will be sent abroad: fabrics and sewing materials to Cuba; school supplies to Cuba and India; and a mattress, a bed base, and a sewing machine are among the items destined for Togo.
Since mid-April, 16 friends have donated materials for Italy and 4 for abroad. To all of them, our sincere thanks: with their help we have reduced waste and supported many people.
ATF has collaborated with Opera Messa della Carità, Casa di Tabità, MAC – Movimento Apostolico Ciechi, Fondazione Isacchi Samaja, Biblioteca di Baggio, Rigenera Sport in Bologna, as well as various individuals who collect useful items for organizations and schools.
Many other projects are underway; we will soon share the results.
