A wonderful project in Congo, and great support in Italy :)!
The project: the children of the kindergarten in Isiro, DR Congo, will soon have a playground! For them, it will surely be a great opportunity to “just be children”—which is no small thing in that part of the world.
The kindergarten is run by the Congolese association Gajen and the Consolata Missionaries.
And the support from Italy?
It comes from a beautiful donation: the purchase of the playground equipment (you’ll find the list attached) was financed by the Alpini of Milan, who donated to ATF the net proceeds from their Easter fundraising through the sale of chocolate eggs and colombe (Easter cakes): a generous €3,000!!!
The money was sent to Congo a few days ago. For now, we have “only” some photos of the kindergarten and the children; once the playground equipment arrives—purchased in Uganda—we’ll show you the final result.
