Good morning!
The good news is that we’ll soon have lots of great updates to share with you. In the meantime, no bad news 🙂 just plenty of photos from our daily activities.
THANDARAI, INDIA: Actually, there’s already a great piece of news: all the students in the after-school program have passed their exams. And some did very well: Dharshini, from the tenth grade, ranked second in her school with a score of 452 out of 500. The three girls who took the twelfth-grade exam all passed with more than satisfactory scores: another Dharshini with 296 points, Premavathi with 312, and Pavithra with 404 (out of a maximum of 600).
ATF awarded all four students with congratulations and encouragement prizes, and now we’re waiting to see how they want to continue their studies.
Before schools reopened last Monday, maintenance work was completed at the after-school center (ATF helped purchase some materials). During the holidays, students took music, drawing, and chess classes.
Regarding food assistance, in May, 10 kg of rice plus flour and other supplies were donated to some people in need.
Beautiful photos also came in from:
• The nutrition/medical center for children in ISIRO, CONGO, which ATF supports monthly; and even from a brick factory… There are so many things happening there!
• And from BAIRE, CUBA: Despite many challenges, Don Carlo continues his work with single mothers and their children; ATF continues monthly support for six women and pays the salaries of two sewing teachers.
We have photos of daily activities and of the Mother’s Day celebration with the moms and their children.
And it’s not over yet: in Italy, more good news! The list of contributions from the “5 per mille” for 2024 has just been published. ATF will receive €3,686.98—a great result! Thanks to the 47 friends who chose us!
