The Ebola virus has arrived in Isiro, the city where we support children and families.
This is a serious and urgent emergency. The risk to children and adults is real: prevention is essential.
Brother Rombaut, from Isiro, wrote to us:
“Here in Isiro, people have died. We are especially raising awareness among the mothers who attend our Centre, so that they can be vigilant and protect their children. We lack the resources to buy medicines and disinfectant.”
Soap, disinfectants, gloves and face masks are urgently needed.
ATF has already taken action. We want to provide these essential supplies for approximately 3 months to the 250 families who attend the Gajen Centre.
In Isiro, the costs are:
• bar of soap: €0.65
• liquid soap (250 ml): €1.72
• 100 gloves: €4.30
• 100 face masks: €5.16
