ITALY: MANY MATERIALS REUSED, MUCH WASTE AVOIDED
ATF’s commitment continues to connect items that someone no longer uses with people who can give them a new life, helping to avoid waste.
Since the beginning of February, we have accomplished quite a lot.
Some items with special purposes have “found a home,” such as a tent useful for people experiencing homelessness; an electric saw used for pruning plants, donated to an association that supports the social reintegration of people living in marginal conditions; and a piece of exercise equipment delivered to an organization that wants to give vulnerable, disabled, or socially excluded people the opportunity to practice sports and feel part of a community.
Then there were many more “ordinary” items: clothes, glasses, sheets, dishes, books…
The materials were delivered to four associations in Milan (Casa di Tabità, Opera Messa della Carità, Fondazione Isacchi Samaia, and Sesta Opera San Fedele) and to Rigenera Sport in Bologna.
The collection of materials for Togo is also continuing. A large number of items have arrived and will soon be sent to Africa… we will show you everything.
And that’s not all: we are evaluating how best to use the many donations that are being offered to us. We will tell you more about it soon.
Do you have items you no longer use but that could be useful to someone? Write to us!
Remember: clothes and objects must be clean, in good condition, and working.
